The ushers quietly assist the celebrant and other liturgical ministers in the operation of a prayerful experience at the liturgies. Their duties include welcoming parishioners and visitors, collecting stewardship and other offerings, distributing bulletins and other materials, and coordinating a response should an emergency occur.
