Anyone wishing to volunteer with the children of St. Vivian Parish and/or School MUST attend a Child Protection Class AND be fingerprinted by the Archdiocese. The classes will be held at St. Vivian and the dates and times are listed below. The fingerprinting can only be done at designated locations in the Archdiocese. The days and times of fingerprinting locations are listed on the back of this paper. The class must be completed and the results of the fingerprinting must be obtained prior to volunteering. Look Ahead - please do not wait until the last minute. Our children need you!

Decree

The complete text of the latest revision of the Decree on Child Protection, effective March 31, 2003. Anyone working with children as an Archdiocesan employee or volunteer must be trained in the Decree. All other Catholics of the Archdiocese are urged to be familiar with its contents as well.

Brochure

A summary of the Decree which also describes signs of child abuse (physical, sexual, emotional) and includes phone numbers of child protection agencies in all 19 counties of the Archdiocese. This can be printed out and folded into a tri-fold brochure.
