ARTICLE I

NAME

SECTION 1. The name of this association shall be Quicklets.

ARTICLE II

OBJECT

SECTION 1. The purpose of this organization is:

a. To foster and promote positive communication in the St. Vivian parish and school.

b. To advance the general Parish Mission Statement of St. Vivian.

c. To maintain an affirmative working relationship with the pastoral staff and act as a communicative instrument to facilitate their positions and responsibilities.

d. To have a little fun.

ARTICLE III

STAFF ELIGIBILITY

SECTION 1. The staff of this association shall be composed of adults belonging to the parish, or having children attending St. Vivian school as deemed necessary by the managing editor.

SECTION 2. The managing editor shall be appointed by the pastor of St. Vivian and shall serve without remuneration until resignation, replacement or termination.

SECTION 3. The managing editor shall:

a. Manage the funds and affairs of the organization.

b. Appoint all writers, correspondents and technicians. All will serve without remuneration.

c. Appoint all department heads and middle management positions. All will serve without remuneration.

d. Constitute and appoint committees and define the powers and duties of the same.

SECTION 4. Managing editor shall have autonomy of daily operations and shall be directly accountable to the pastor or his representative.

ARTICLE IV

SUBSCRIPTION ELIGIBILITY

SECTION 1. Eligibility for subscription is open to anyone and will not discriminate by age, sex, race, national origin or other affiliations.

SECTION 2. Subscription will be by personal request only, via email, and no one will be placed on the subscription list without their prior consent.

ARTICLE V

SUBMISSIONS FOR PUBLICATION

SECTION 1. Submissions for publication shall be made to the managing editor via email or other written manner.

SECTION 2. Any information submitted for publication which, in the view of the managing editor, is indecent, offensive, inflammatory or morally objectionable will not be published.

SECTION 3. Advertisement of goods, services or events not affiliated directly with St. Vivian or an official organization thereof will be prohibited.

SECTION 4. Articles shall identify the person submitting the information.

ARTICLE VI

PRIVACY

SECTION 1. Email addresses submitted for subscription will NOT be sold, given or in any way distributed to third party vendors.

SECTION 2. Email addresses submitted for subscription will NOT be sold, given or in any way distributed to other individuals, groups or organizations in the parish or school.

ARTICLE VII

RECOURSE

SECTION 1. Comments, suggestions or complaints shall be directed to the managing editor.

SECTION 2. Issues unable to be resolved with the managing editor will be addressed in group fashion by the complainant, the managing editor and the pastor.

ARTICLE VIII

AMENDMENTS

SECTION 1. This Constitution may be amended by the managing editor and approved by Parish Pastoral Council as deemed necessary.
