Festival Booth News

Sponsor Money turned in to Kirk Vonderhaar. Fans sponsoring Face Painting Booth. Volunteers to work in booth have been scheduled.

Jerry to discuss with Brenda Gallagher about extra Fans T-Shirts to sell at festival.

New Business:

Art by Nature Program

Jane Browe presented the fund raising details of a program entitled "Art by Nature". This program is similar to Market Day but utilizes fresh produce. The profit is based on purchasing the produce at wholesale prices but sell the produce slightly below retail.

The produce can be sold in smaller quantities to tap into households of different types (example, seniors, singles, smaller families, etc.) Pre-payment of all orders would have to be made a rule since it is fresh produce. No contract required to be signed by FANS. The fundraiser can be cancelled at anytime.

Jane Browe to contact Fran Vandarsall (Market Day) and Bridgett Raffenberg (President, PTA) to discuss if this will interfere with Market Day and to request pick-up on same day for both programs. Jane Browe to discuss at a future FANS meeting.

Special thanks for Jane Browe for doing such a wonderful job in presenting the program.

FANS Information Flyer

Brenda Gallagher will type out a flyer to go in the school packet for opening day of school. Jerry requested that all members of FANS e-mail Brenda with "What Fans is About?" Brenda will then edit and develop and send out for review to all members before publishing. Flyer to include Membership Fee. Mary Beth discussed possible fee for Concert Choir. Will discuss in future meeting.

Grants

Jerry Meyer mentioned that Bill Rice has the knowledge to write grants for St. Vivian. Randy Kent to research what we need and develop a professional bid to give to Bill Rice. Jerry to e-mail Randy Bill's e-mail address and phone number for specifics.

By-Law Revision

Include Art Director in Section 1 Paragraph F.
