Membership: Jerry gave Jim a few more names for the Volunteer list he had received.

Old Business:

Minutes approved from last meeting.

Karaoke Fundraising Update:

Jerry Meyer stated that Suzanne Warden was no longer handling the door prizes. With the assistance of Sharon Meyer and Michelle Frey we will have enough door prizes for Karaoke night and future events.

Event will be announced next Saturday/Sunday's liturgies. Maria sent flyers home through school mail. Posters have been made and located throughout church and school.

 

Jim Meyer will handle purchasing beer and soft drinks. Cups supplied by Sports Boosters. Jim spoke to Cindy Pumple and stated they have more than enough to share. Reservations to date &emdash; 12. Jim and Sharon will work entrance table for reservations and ticket sales. Beer and pop to be delivered after 2:30 p.m. on April 27, 2001.

 

Brenda Gallagher stated that she had spoke to Sur Good Biscuit Company and they are willing to donate chips and pretzels. LaRosas providing pizza at a really good price. Plates and Napkins supplied by LaRosa's. Brenda will handle making coffee for the event.

 

Nicole Price ordered some decorations and has developed Ad poster to be located throughout Activity Center. Nicole and Maria to handle final decorations on Friday, April 20. Nicole and Maria will work with volunteers that Anne Flick has scheduled for set-up of event. Nicole to handle nomination forms for future FANS members.

 

Bill Rice will handle split the pot.

 

Dave Raffenberg to handle bartending as well as Fine Arts Raffle.

 

Randy Kent to handle song sheets. Randy and Mike Royal to handle MC for night.

 

FANS T-Shirts

 

Brenda Gallagher sending order forms home through school mail. A minimum of 75 shirts must be ordered. Order forms due back by April 26 in order to have for Jr. High by Spring Musical.

All order forms should be returned to Dave Raffenberg who will handle setting up a database and organization the orders for processing.

 

Upcoming Elections:

Jerry Meyer sent e-mails to all listed on FANS Volunteer list to petition for next year's FANS organization. The May meeting of FANS will serve as the election for all new FANS members. Board will be decided at the June meeting.

Jerry to have an announcement in bulletin. All names to be submitted to Jerry Meyer by May 16 for May 21 election.

 

Spring Musical:

Jerry Meyer wanted again to thank Mary Beth Hoagland and Randy Kent for a beautiful job on the elementary Spring Musical. Thanks to Mary Beth for choosing scripts and music for plays based on scripture and Jesus Christ. Randy did an excellent job with sets and physical design.

Need a volunteer to assist Mary Beth with Jr. High Musical. This volunteer needs to obtain the Volunteer List sheet from Mary Beth and organize bake sale, etc. Any interested party, contact Jerry Meyer. This is a very important person as it allows Mary Beth to have more time with the children and their play.

Festival:

Nicole discussed ideas for FANS to use at FESTIVAL. Nicole to contact Amy Vonderhaar to discuss sponsoring booth and ideas. Information obtained to be discussed at next FANS meeting.

The next meeting of FANS is scheduled for May 21, 7:00 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge.
