Committee Reports:

Treasurer Report:
Balance in checking is $4880.60.

This is not a firm number however because there is outstanding income and expenses from the choir's Louisville trip. There is also outstanding income from the sale of the Might Duck's game tickets; to date, we have received $396.00 for the ticket sales. Jerry will contact Mary Beth about the outstanding expenses and income from these events.

FANS paid $25.00 per student towards the $38.00 per trip cost for Louisville Choir trip.

Bridgette Raffenberg, PTA president will submit a bill to FANS for the cost of the bus to take the choir to Mt. Notre Dame for their competition. It was unanimously agreed that FANS should cover this expense.

Music Director's Report:

Jerry Meyer updated the Board in Mary Beth Khamis' absence.

The concert choir trip to Louisville was a great success. The choir performed at a nursing home, visited the Louisville Slugger Museum, the art museum, toured the opera house and watched a performance of Figaro.

The Concert Choir will perform at church on June 2 at 1:15. This concert will be preceded by a cookout after 11:30 mass. There is no cost for parishioners to eat at the cookout. Donations will be accepted during the concert.

Theresa McGoron is organizing all of the food, plates, etc.

Jerry Meyer and Randy Kent will supply grills and charcoal.

Randy Kent and David Herbe will cook.

Nicole Price requested that Mary Beth Khamis email the music program to Cindy at Landen Digital as soon as possible. The email address is cmartz@landen.com

The first Friday Night Flicks was attended by approximately 40 K-2 students.

Thanks to Randy & Mary Kent for set up, clean up and organization.

Thanks to Mike Royal and his crew for "clowning around."

Thanks also to Laura & David Herbe for their help and providing the music.

Thanks to Eric & Nicole Price, Maria & Jerry Meyer for their help & supervision.

Thanks to the concert choir students for supervising.

The next Friday Night Flicks is May 31 for the 3 - 5 grade students.

It was suggested that the students play outside for an hour prior to starting the movie. Harry Potter was suggested as a film, Maria Meyer will check with the teachers to see if there is any concern about showing this movie. If not, a Harry Potter evening will be planned.

Maria Meyer and Nicole Price agreed to help Randy with this evening.

Brenda Gallagher will get snacks and soda.

Depending on the allotted time, Mike Royal may provide his Karaoke equipment.

New Business:

Elections:
Nominees included: Mary Kent, Mike Royal, Carron Elser, Laura Herbe, Amy Zust, Mike Collier, Liz Wilking.
The attendees voted and the new members will be asked to attend the June Meeting. At this meeting, they will decide who will fulfill each office.

New members are still being sought for the Board.

Fund Raising Opportunity:

Brenda Gallagher presented an opportunity to sell CDs by parishioner, Angie Birkhead-Flight. Angie is a Christian music writer and performer. Angie would sell the CDs to FANS at a cost of $5.50 each and FANS could sell them for $11.00 and keep the profit.

It was recommended that FANS support a benefit concert by Angie, after her maternity leave, to promote the sale of her CDs.

Further discussion of this opportunity will be held at the June Board Meeting.

School House Symphony:

This program teaches children about music 4 times each year and is sponsored by the Cincinnati Symphony.

Michelle Frey agreed to gather information about this program.

Face Painting Booth at the Festival:

Mary Beth Khamis will recruit 2 Concert Choir students to work each shift.

Jerry Meyer is requesting 1 adult to supervise each shift and will contact individuals who indicated and interest to volunteer for FANS.
