Music Director's Report:

Bake Sale
Bake Sale to raise funds for Concert Choir trip approved by Mr. Cavanaugh

Jerry suggested to speak with Joan Gory to coordinate

 

Concert Choir

Mary Beth is scheduling a Concert Choir concert after mass. Possibly will request donations from parish after concert.

Concert Choir trip for 2-3 day overnight cancelled. Three-Day trips have been approved.

 

Friday Night Flicks

Randy Kent to speak with Mr. Cavanaugh for approval of using projector.

Three Friday night flicks will be set-up as follows: Grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8

Randy investigating setting up a "drive-in" theater in parking lot, tuning into a station on car radio for a "Family Night" at the movies.

Mary Beth will work on scheduling the events

Baby-sitting provided by Jr. High for elementary

 

Mighty Ducks Game Fund Raiser:
167 tickets sold

Mary Beth discussed how the Mighty Ducks organization did not come through as originally set-up with appearance of Mascot for Assembly and free ice-skating not being available.

 

String Program

Mr. Cavanaugh supported Strings program

Tim McManus was also very supportive as well as choir program

Mary Beth would like to open to entire parish and not just St. Vivian students

 

Spring Musicals

Cancelled

 

Karaoke Event Update

Dave Raffenburg submitted refund check for return of beer to Nicole. Karaoke net now $900.

 

New Business:

 

Festival Information:
Randy explained new type of face painting that would not use airbrushes. New system includes stencils with applicators and ink pads. Purchase of new system would be $250. FANS stated to go ahead with purchase and we will donate use to festival and use at other FANS functions.

FANS agreed to sponsor a booth as was done last year

 

Program Concerns

Nicole expressed concern that advertising sold for programs would not be met due to spring musicals being cancelled.

A program will be made for the Concert Choir concert after mass and Posters made for Friday night flicks.

 

Parish Volunteerism Meeting

Mike Royal brought FANS up-to-date on issues discussed in the Parish Volunteerism Meeting held on March 17. Mike passed out handouts and reviewed each with organization.

 

Elections

Jerry Meyer requested that each member of FANS bring in at least one new name for nominations for FANS.
