EducationThe meeting opened with prayer by Stan Riley.
MinutesWe began with an educational topic on Dies Domini. Chapter 3 of the document was discussed, and everyone attending was given the opportunity to share their opinions and insights about the text regarding worship as "community."
The minutes for the January 9, 2006 meeting were unanimously approved by the Worship Commission.

Linda Staneck provided Worship Commission with the attached report from the Fifth Sunday Mass Planning Committee:
Joe Meyer and John Hadden were also invited to attend this month's meeting to discuss the Fifth Sunday Mass which was held on January 29, 2006. The mass was less attended than the previous one in October; however, feedback about the mass was very positive. Joe and John talked about the Fifth Sunday Mass being a method of evangelization for both the members of the Saint Vivian community as well as individuals who are outside the parish.
A new committee, the Spiritual Life Committee, was discussed by Joe Meyer and John Hadden. Members of this new committee claimed that they would be willing to help Worship Commission incorporate some of the elements of the Fifth Sunday Mass into the weekend liturgies.

Update from Lent/Easter Planning:
A Lenten banner was designed by the subcommittee. The banner will hang in the corner of the sanctuary during the season of Lent, and each week, a new word will be revealed on the banner pertaining to the readings of the day. Lenten banner bulletin inserts will be placed in the bulletin each week in order to explain the significance of each week's word.
The next meeting is Monday, March 13, 2006, at 7:00 pm in the Saint Clare room.
For this meeting, reread chapter 4 of Dies Domini. Linda Staneck will begin this meeting with prayer, and she will also serve as Chair for this meeting.
