St. Vivian Online Discussion Forum: Closed Forum

I have created a forum for St. Vivian's parishioners to discuss topics OTHER
than the one discussed on this forum. This is a place where we can discuss,
for example, prayers for good weather next weekend. : ) Or what options
there might if you decide the school is not a good environment for your
children. Those off-topic topics in which it might be helpful to have other
resources and ideas. Most any topic that is considered off-topic here is
welcome there, as long as people are polite to one another.

If you'd like to also be a part of that community, just e-mail me at
ange at fuse.net, and I'll send you the information. It's a Yahoo group, but
is by invitation only and is a closed, moderated group.

 

Somehow, it seems that a "closed" forum on the St. Vivian on-line discussion forum runs counter to the spirit of family and community that we should be fostering in the parish. I would think we are trying to build community here, not create something devisive. If there is something we can't say openly to the whole community, is it really worth being said?
