Twinning Project - Teresa Besl (update)

Food collection for Twinning has changed. They do not get our food collections anymore. However, they do like it when we send the personal care items. These items are used for the community.

Question: Do we want to do the beginning of the year supplies, money or personal care items: This will be discussed next month.

Question: How about getting children in the parish involved? Youth group, Boy/Girl Scouts, etc;

Still meeting one-on-one with people in the parish asking about our community. November 16th is the public meeting. Looking for opportunities to do a social justice event during Advent.

Housekeeping:

Prayer and agenda sign-up was passed around.

Liaison roster of organization was passed out. PPC is to get in contact with the people under their names to let them know they are their PPC rep. (Kathy will email the updated chart to all.)

Security system is up and running

Capital improvements: we need a new phone system. It will run about $25,000. This will allow for phones in the classroom and new phones for the rectory.

Looking into new computers for the rectory

Stewardship - 69% pledged to goal

Financial statements passed out. Approved by PPC. Will be published in the bulletin 9/29/03.

St. Margaret Mary Deanery meeting is Oct. 30th , 6:30 p.m. Groups will be getting together to discuss issues on serving the Church in the future. (5 reps + Fr. Kroeger)

Doughnut Sunday: Keeping doughnut Sunday going. Have different groups within the parish be in charge of it. PPC will sponsor it for the month of September.

Communication: Tom Bove is going to take on a team to help with the web site. PPC email addresses and phone numbers will be on web site. (OK'd by all)

Goals and ideas: will be discussed at the next PPC meeting.

Suggestion box: Fran will be in charge of the suggestion box now. No new suggestions
