Meeting was opened with prayer in the chapel.
Members Present: Joe Staneck, Kathy Rothschild, Tom Bove, Bonnie Mack, Tim Barry, Father Jack, Fran Vanarsdall-Schwartz, Kathy Humbert, Don Schaeper, Peg Mersch, Jen Reker-Murphy, Linda Lennon, Vivian Wagner.
We had 3 speakers:
Tim McManus: Introduced himself to PPC. Explained how the skills he has gained as an engineer and being a parish member will benefit him in his new role as development director.
Goals:
1. Write a detailed job description. In order to do this he intends to find out what will benefit the parish.2. Fundraising. There are a number of organizations at St. V. His job will be to find the need and know who to go to.
Communication: www.stvivian.org. Making our name known and being able to recognize/remember ways to communicate.3. Where are we going to get the funds to maintain our community?

Tim ended by saying he is going to make long and short term plans. He wants to look at the organizations we have look at the projects we need to take care of and prioritize them in order to complete the goals.
Dave Lennert: Spoke about the AMOS project. Passed out a description explaining the job description of AMOS, the team commitments, and a list of objectives the the group has accomplished in their first year.He announced that there would be a public meeting on a Sunday in October of 2003.
Joe Staneck: Spoke about the Long range planning committee. The goal of the group is to develop plans for the future of St. ViviansTwo issues that need to be addressed:
1. Shortage of priests. The Archdiocese has a checklist they look at when deciding what priest will go to what parish. The committees goal is to fulfill these items on the checklist so we can have priests choose to come to our parish.2. Keep high quality and affordability of the school.
Bring on a development director.
Surveys are being done to see how well things are progressing. (Example buildings, grounds)
Feast of St. Vivian will be December 2, 2002. It will be combined with a reconciliation service with a reception to follow.
Fr. Jack passed out October mass attendance figures from 1994 - 2002.
Suggestions were read: Issue 7 came up and comments about development director. Questions will be sent to Bill Lonneman and Dave Lennert to be followed up on.
