I. The meeting began in the church with the Evening Prayers of the Church on the Feast of the Annunciation as part of the Evening of Discernment for Worship Commission, Education Commission and Parish Pastoral Council.

All interested candidates and current elected member representatives then met to answer questions regarding the role of each commission. Following photographs of candidates, they were dismissed and an abbreviated PPC meeting followed.

II. Dave Nichols moved, seconded by Paul Hess to approve the minutes of the February 26th meeting, as amended.

III. OLD BUSINESS

A. Twinning

Jeanne Schaefer presented an invitation to join a group of St. Michael’s team who will be visiting New Orleans at the end of April.

B. St. Vivian/St. Bart Collaboration Update

Prayer services have been planned jointly for Tuesday evenings in Lent.

C. Commission Reports

1) Temporal Affairs

To be presented under New Business

2) Worship Commission

Jan Grimes will meet with Tim McManus after Easter to begin discussions of survey results related to music and liturgy.

3) Education

Discussed a new Stewardship Model for the Parish.  School enrollment for the 07/08 school year continues.  Approved the school calendar for 07/08.  Discussed a stricter enforcement of existing school uniform policies.

D. Request for A.E.D.   

There must be 7 people trained to operate the A.E.D. before the Grant will be approved for purchase. Various groups have been contacted to have a representative trained.

E. Mass Schedules

Following the tremendous response to Fr. Paul’s invitation to the parishioners to volunteer for the various ministries, the Mass schedule will remain unchanged at this time. There will be a formal Commissioning of all Ministers at all Masses after Easter. 

III. NEW BUSINESS

A. Parish Budget 07/08

The proposed budget was presented in detail by Kathy Rothschild.  Kathy and the Temporal Affairs commission were acknowledged for an excellent job on a tough task.

Mike Ward moved, seconded by Dave Nichols to approve the budget as presented.

Motion carried.

B. Suggestion Box

A Festival related suggestion was referred to Mike Ward.

IV. ADJOURNMENT

Star Vondrell moved, seconded by Jan Grimes to adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 9:50 following a closing prayer. Next meeting is 4/23/07.
