January 26, 2004

Meeting was opened with prayer.

Members Present:

Kathy Rothschild updates:

The phone system was put on hold during the Christmas holiday. However, the new computers are in and running!!! "They are wonderful."

New secretary has been hired. This will be announced in the bulletins and Quicklets. She will begin Feb. 9, 2004.

Cafeteria has put up a screen for sanitary reasons. They also have new refrigerators. This will be announced in the bulletin and Quicklets.

Posting agenda on the website:

People would like to know what PPC would be discussing at their upcoming meetings so they can give their feedback on what they would like to be discussed. These will be posted on the website 2 weeks before the PPC meetings.

PPC Guidelines/Constitution:

Joe, Vivian, Lisa, and John will look over the old bylaws and make new ones for PPC. The question was raised if someone who is not "Catholic" were able to be on PPC. The group will make this and other bylaws clear and bring it back to PPC for approval.

Pew Questionnaire:

The questionnaires went well. Many people responded. Fran took the papers home and will categorize them into groups. She will bring the surveys back and they will be divided up among PPC members. The next step: spread sheets will be made and the questions will be typed (exact words). The questions will be distributed to the correct group for the questions to be answered. While all of this is going on, references to some of the comments will be acknowledged in the bulletin and Quicklets.

The question came up if there are too many envelopes for 2nd collections. Are people talking about this? PPC has agreed to keep their ears open and bring back feedback next month.

Fr. Kroeger:

Christmas Report:
The masses went very well. Attendance was up at all masses. Because of the great outcome, it will remain this way next year.

Fr. Kroeger also passed out a policy made by the Education Commission. The disclaimer states the parish will not be responsible if something happens at a non-parish function. This will be sent to the diocese for approval. PPC agreed on this.

Suggestion Box:

Songs too small to read and would like on white, not colored, paper

Can we put in the bulletin and Quicklets, families and people who are overseas? (for prayer purposes)

Both the above will be taken care of by Kathy Rothschild.

PPC will be taking the Child Protection Decree Training at the end of Feb.'s meeting

Meeting was ended with the Our Father.
