1. PPC Constitution feedback

pg. 6 Article 13: change to : council determines that the nature of the proposed amendment in the spirit of the mission of the parish. (Moves to #4)

 

"after the proposed amendments is submitted to council at any meeting in which quorum exist" (Moves to #3)

 

pg 5 Article V Section 2; Membership: "All registered members" needs to be clarified.

 

A registered member needs to be registered in the parish office, and one who's name is carried on the parish membership role.

 

Article VIII Attendance will be stated in the bylaws

 

Discussion of the additions for serving on more than one office will be added to the PPC Constitution.

2. Survey Update

Survey comments were handed out. The main concern is the future of our priests.

To help the parish, we noted that one of the challenges is in Article III Sec. 1 of our constitution ("To empower and involve laity in decisions. When there is a lack of involvement in a decision, there is resentment and lack of ownership. This is what we have right now")

Another concern will be sent to Tim to see if he can answer the question; (" Stewardship of involvement - set goals that each parish member be active in one or more organizations").

3. Election Process

There are 4 running for Education Commission and 5 running for PPC. On May 16 they will be featured in the bulletin and on May 23 the election will be held. Outgoing officers will count the votes after the 11:30 mass.

4. Kathy Rothschild

The parking lot will be resealed and repainted. It will cost between $12,000- $16,000.

Because of water damage, the steps to the church need to be repaired. More information to come.
