I. The Meeting was opened with a prayer.

II. Jan Grimes moved, seconded by Dave Nichols to approve the minutes of the March 26 meeting, as amended.

III. Old Business

A. Twinning

A first draft of a Mission Statement was presented to the PPC for discussion and suggestions.

An initial visit to St. Maria Goretti parish is being planned in conjunction with their parish Feast Day celebration July 7-9.

B.  St. Vivian/St. Bart Collaboration Update

The two festival committees held their second joint meeting to share ideas and discuss shared equipment inventory possibilities.

C.  Commission Reports

1) Temporal Affairs: No meeting to report on

2) Worship Commission: No meeting to report on

3) Education: Their next meeting is May 17^th

D. Request for A.E.D.

Training sessions will begin for the 7 people required before obtaining the equipment. This will be completely paid for through a Grant.

E. Discernment 2007 - Process & Upcoming Events

1. 5/6/07 - Ballots and Biographies inserted in the Bulletins

2. 5/13/07 - Announcement reminder of upcoming elections

3. 5/20/07 - Election Sunday. Paul Hess, Dave Nichols and Star Vondrell will assist with ballot counting procedure

IV. New Business

A. Discernment 2008

Greg Hogg sent an email to propose a discussion of a prepared agenda for the Evening of Discernment when we meet with potential candidates in conjunction with the Education Commission. Further discussion was tabled until the new members join the council in June.

Greg also presented a suggestion for a "leadership day" which Fr. Paul will present to the Leadership Team of the Grateful Believers Stewardship committee.

B. Council Communications - Survey Output

Dave Nichols and Jane Browe "re-visited" comments from the surveys with Fr. Paul. Their suggestion is to implement a system of quarterly reports that will reach all parishioners, not just the ones who use Quicklets or read the Vibrations.

Paul Hess moved, seconded by Mike Ward to adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 following a closing prayer. Next meeting is 6/4/07 and will be held in the Rectory. This will be the first meeting for the newly elected members and the final meeting for Paul Hess, Star Vondrell and Dave Nichols.
