2) SECRETARY'S REPORT

3) TREASURER'S REPORT
Theresa McGoron reported a checking account balance of $10,648.09 and a savings account balance of $5024.48. Theresa reported that PTA dues turned in last year totaled $830. This year's dues turned in so far total $795.
4) FATHER JACK
Not in attendance.
5) PRINCIPAL
Not in attendance. Principal Vance is unable to attend Wednesday night meetings. Possibility of changing PTA meeting night to Tuesdays.
6) OLD BUSINESS
a). Everybody Counts-Jean Merz will be Chairperson of this event. She is in the process of getting volunteers lined up for each grade level. Same procedures as in the past, except no follow up speakers.Theresa Eve offered her help with this. In need of seventh grade volunteers. Jean will schedule meeting for volunteers.
b). Innisbrook Wrap Sales- paperwork sent home. Sale ends on September 27, 1999.
c). Piles of Pennies &endash; Mr. Vance spoke with teachers, in agreement to use piles of pennies for service projects.
e). Donut Sunday-September 26th-procedures given to Theresa McGoron.
f). Campbell's labels-Chris just received packet from Campbells for the 1999/2000 label campaign. She will get letters out within the week. Gym equipment ordered from last year's labels has started to come in.
Some of the equipment ordered, we already had in storage. Mrs. Heyob suggested consulting with Mrs. Remele regarding this year's order. Amy Zust has agreed to Co-Chair this fundraiser.
g). St. Vivian Parish Picnic-Beckie reported that the picnic had a good turn out and everyone seemed to have a good time. Putt-Putt will be added to next year's job distribution to be chaired by a committee.
h). Market Day-Ann will start Classroom Tally Rally in December. Same procedure as in past, with two grade levels per month.
7) NEW BUSINESS
a). Mr. Vance's wish list-vote passed to spend $4250.00 (total for each class to have 2 field trips), seed money paid to teachers, okayed chairs for first grade and furniture for fourth grade. Okay to pay money to library, although we need to find out if possible increase is needed. $500 allocated for library. Beckie will speak with Mr. Vance regarding salaries for Computer person, P.E. person and Art teacher. She will also discuss upgrade of computers.b). Job Distribution List &endash; everything filled.
c). School Directory-Laura Kalas reported that the directories should be ready by the third week in October. Price increase for extra copies was not caught in time for the order form in Open House packets.
d). PTA "Help Wanted Letters" &endash; good response for volunteers.
e). Pancake Breakfast-Sally Merkle contacted Nancy Boeddeker, she is still planning on Co-chairing this event with Kim Parker. Need to find two Santas for this breakfast.
f). PTA Christmas Tree-Sally Merkle will speak with 3rd Grade teachers regarding decorations for the tree
g). Santa Shop-Mary Jo Heekin has information. Santa shop scheduled for November 30th and December 1st.
8) OTHER BUSINESS
a). Value Card-brought up as a possible fundraiser. Idea to pass this to the Boosters.b). Monthly Newsletter-Theresa Eve brought up problem with this new procedure. Fliers sent out from Finneytown regarding dance progam, tumbling and sports are not being passed out in time to meet deadline for sign up. Beckie will speak with Mr. Vance to see if fliers can go out more often.
c). Secret Pal-Laura Hagen gave teachers HOMEMADE Chocolate Chip Cookies and an article about teachers.
d). Ice Cream Social-okay to schedule Tom Bemmes as the performer for this years Ice Cream Social
9) ADJOURNMENT - The meeting was adjourned at 8:45.
