Mrs. Margello is pleased to announce that we of one of 20 schools that have been granted the Xavier Initiative Grant, and it involves multiple benefits to our school and our teachers. Details of the program will be announced in the near future.

Old Business

Innisbrook- Final sales total is $21,672.89. This gives our school a profit of $11,000- which is now more than last year! Participation was greater than last year, so a spirit day is in order. PTA will do this next year.

Candle sale- Flyer went out, orders are due by 11/21.

Zone Book- sales are not as good as we hoped for, but we plan to sell them wrapped at the Pancake Breakfast on Dec 7th.

Pumpkin Carving Night- Went well. We had about 50 people show up. We recommend doing it next year- there is very little expense, and it's a lot of fun.

Pancake Breakfast with Santa- December 7th. Heather Battdorf has sent out the donation letters. She needs volunteers. Lori will create a flyer for the bulletin and Friday packets.

General PTA Meeting- Lori is calling Cinergy and Children's Hospital for ideas.

New Business

Teachers Wish List- Jean Margello circulated the current list. Discussion was tabled until next meeting.

Teachers Christmas Party- Fr. Kroeger surveyed the teachers, and they would prefer 1 party instead of a party from the PTA and a party from the Parish. He suggested that the PTA donate their standard amount ($400) and the parish would pick up the remainder of the party bill. There was a motion to increase our donation from 400 to 500 dollars, and it was passed.

Basketball- We paid $150 for the 2003 boys and 2004 girls basketball program.

Thanksgiving Day race- Kim Parker is coordinating volunteers.

Booster Ads- BasketBall tournament ad ($150) was motioned and approved.

Jingle Bell Shop- Changed date to Dec 10th and 11th this year.

Catholic Schools Week- Jan 25th is the open house from 12:30-2:30. PTA normally pays for a take-away for existing and potential families. Last year it was a window cling, and this year Jean suggested a refrigerator magnet. A motion to pay $300 for 500 magnets was passed. Teachers appreciation lunch is Thursday, January 29th. Nancy Slayton is co-ordinator.

Meeting was adjourned. Next meeting is January 21. Location TBA
