Welcoming/Opening Prayer
Anita Rudy called the meeting to order and led the group in prayer.
Secretary's Report
Meeting minutes from 3/16/05 were reviewed and approved.
Treasurer's Report
Account balance is $8,361.05. Total expenses for the month are $1,968.00. Total deposits for the month are $950.12.Sally Foster sales for the year were approximately $9,900.
Principal's Report
Meeting was held to define Bullying Policy for St. Vivian. More details to come.School needs 3 Televisions and 3 DVD/VCR Combination players. Board approved their purchase.
Judy Rolfert provided Janine Winters with receipts from Teachers for the gift money the Board provided to them during the year. Judy also conveyed their appreciation for the money that allows them to do extra things for the students.

Old Business
A. Donut Sunday - Was a success. Board will consider doing it again next year.B. Internet Detective - Rick Sweeney provided an informative program on Internet abuses on Tuesday, April 12th. There were about 15 people in attendance. Bridgett Raffenberg then provided a demonstration on how to monitor computer usage.
C. Playground - Mike Ward reported they are working on a layout. Need feedback from students. Contacted Randy Kent about painting the back parking lot after it is resurfaced. Will need between $2,000-3,000 for the summer to install some equipment. Also conveyed the need to get other organizations at the school involved with the playground project.
D. Walk-A-Thon - Amy Hagedorn reported that T-shirts were also purchased for the teachers and staff. Donations were made for use as prizes (money for Game Boy, i-Pod Shuffle, and cell phone - many thanks to the individuals donating the items!). Ready for a successful event.
E. Graduation - Lori Spinnenweber conveyed that plans are arranged. Will likely ask for volunteers in May to help with the ceremony (to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 2nd).
F. Faculty Appreciation Dinner - Chris Monzel sent welcome letters to new Board Members. Dinner to be held Tuesday May 10th, at 6:30 p.m. at The White House Inn. Will only pay for dinners eaten by those in attendance. RSVPs are beginning to come in.
G. Ice Cream Social - To be held Wednesday April 27th, at 7 p.m. in the Cafeteria. Board agreed to pay the Funny Company Clowns $250 for their services.
H. Moeller Greenhouse - Flyers went home in Friday Packets. Extras flyers were put at the entrance to the church. Additional copies will be made and given out at Market Day on April 23rd.
I. St. Vivian Festival - Board agreed to donate $150 for a basket for the festival and $100 to refurbish the tee for the Putt-Putt booth.
New Business
A. Sally Foster - Janine Winters met with the Sally Foster rep to discuss options for next year's sale. They provided many incentives to sign a contract. Board agreed to try Sally Foster again.B. PTA Survey - Amy Grider provided a summary to the Board of the survey results. This summary will be distributed to the school in the Friday packets.
C. PTA Budget - Carryover to consider for the 2005-2006 school year.
D. Treasurer Audit - Transfer of Treasurer duties will be made in August. Books will be audited at that time.
E. 2005-2006 New Board Members - The following people have agreed to serve on the PTA Board next year: Kathleen Bellemann, Kim Hafele, Maria Henn, Emily Hutzel, Margaret Hope-Maier, Debbie Ruter, and Rozell Winters. They will be introduced at the Ice Cream Social.
Other Business
A. Rick Sweeney, Internet Detective, returned the PTA's check given for his presentation. He requested the money be used to help a student needing Tuition assistance. Board agreed to donate money to the St. Vivian Tuition Assistance Fund.B. Mrs. Gerry Deller is retiring at the end of the year. Board approved using funds to purchase a platter to recognize her years of service at St. Vivian. Chris Monzel will present the platter to her at the Faculty/Staff Appreciation Dinner.

Next meeting is Wednesday, May 18th, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in Ursuline Hall. All Board members are requested to bring an appetizer or dessert to share.
