Parish - What is the Parish Action Plan?

The U.S. Conference of Bishops defines a Christian steward as one who:

1. Receives God's gifts gratefully
2. Cultivates those gifts responsibly
3. Shares those gifts in justice and love, and
4. Returns those gifts to the Lord with increase

This week you will receive a Parish Action Plan that will help you understand how stewardship affects our parish. The objectives of the Parish Action Plan are:

To communicate the human and financial resources necessary to provide all the current ministries, programs, and services in the parish.

To communicate the possibility and need for additional ministries, programs, and services in the parish.

To help you see the connection between the sharing of your time, talent, and treasure and the parish’s ability to provide current and future ministries, programs, and services.

The really exciting thing is that you will begin to see the breadth and depth of ministry that takes place here at St. Vivian.

Please read carefully the Parish Action Plan. Meditate on the meaning of stewardship. Most of all, let us continue to pray together; Lord, what do You want to do through me to accomplish Your will for my parish? And then, Listen closely for His answer.
