1. Christ Renews His Parish is the weekend of May 4 and 6 for the men of our parish. Contact Joe Meyer for more information. A women's Christ Renews His Parish is planned for the fall of 2001. The weekend in May of Christ Renews His Parish, wll be given by members of St. Susanna's parish for our parish. After the weekend the participants meet on a weekly basis to prepare to continue prayer and fellowship and to prepare to give a retreat for other adults. This would than become an ongoing adult faith experience for our parish.

2. Members of our parish are going to Harlan, Kentucky to meet with are twining parish, St Michael. The purpose of the twining is for youth mission trips, clothing drives and parishes community prayer.

3. Meetings are being held to help with racial awareness at St. Vivian. The Amos group is helping with the meetings.

B. Religious Education/ Pastoral Associate Chris Siciliano

There is a new group that has formed at St. Vivian for those who like to knit and or crochet. Garments or afghans are being made for those in need like: the Pregnancy Care Center and the Winton Terrace Guild. The items can be either made at home or at church with a group. Contact the church for more information.

VII Unfinished Business

A. Candidate orientation for those who wish to be members of the Education Commission next year is on Wednesday April 4, 2001 at 7pm.in the Faculty Langue. Ann and Michael will attend to answer questions along with Jim Gleason who is the Archdiocese director of the office of Religious Education.
1. The list of names of those who were nominated for Education Commission for 2001-2004 were given out. Each person on the commission was asked to call eight or nine of the nominees to ask them to run and answer any of their questions. Voting for the new members will be at mass the weekend of May 19 and 20.

2. The meeting dates for next year will be discussed at our May 17th meeting when the new members are present.

VIII New Business

A. Michael brought up his concerns about Adult Catechist. We may want to produce a survey to help find out what adults of the parish want with respect to adult catechist. This would give the commission a starting point and feedback.
1.The church census is being updated and this may help with the commission's goals Father will check and Michael offered to help.

B. Last year the commission sent home a survey for parents. Much discussion continued about surveys. Kevin felt that the accreditation process for school would contain the survey for school. Joe felt that a PSR survey could be done and that should be a topic for the small group discussion. Patty asked about a survey for parents to find out how the school year went. Patty would find about other school surveys. The survey last year did not address the issue that some families have more than one child in the school. Discussion followed with no concrete dission.

C. Chris reminded the commission that adult faith is an on going process and we may want to read the document Our Hearts are Burning, a Pastoral Plan for Adult Faith Formation More discussion about adult faith, our family faith, surveys and the goals of are small groups continued. Chris felt that the members of the commission would benefit from reading the Pastoral Plan. It was decided that the members of the commission would read the first part of the Pastoral document, Our Hearts are Burning to continue the adult faith meetings we attainted and this may help set a direction for our adult faith formation.
1. For our next meeting, May 17 the members of the commission are asked to read Pages 49 to 61,which is the introduction and the 1st and 2nd chapters of Our Heats Are Burning.

2. For the meeting on June 21 read pages 62 to 84, the 3rd and 4th chapters of Our Hearts Are Burning.
