D. Treasurer's Report: Brian Frey
- TreasurerŐs report submitted and filed with the August minutes.
- Month end balance was $26.4K
- Money is still owed for Varsity Football jerseys ($2K)
- Treasurer is still waiting on concession and gate money from the 2 home football games.
E. Report on Correspondence by Corresponding Secretary:
Cheryl Asper
- Cheryl continues to work with Vicki Murphy to develop the Booster outreach program for PSR and non-student members of St. Vivian. The Booster mail box is located in Jodi Bender's office
- The Corresponding Secretary should be the point of contact for all booster communications. The recent volleyball/basketball sign-ups were distributed without her knowledge.
- The CS asked the question: What types of booster communication should go into the bullentin/quicklets, etc. It was agreed upon by the board that any information pertaining to team tryouts or booster fundraisers should be posted. The CS will make the call on what is communicated with guidance from the booster board.
F. Reports from Sport Commissioners:
1. Girls Basketball & Tournament - Dan Valerio and Brian Hoffman
- CYO season is underway.
- Uniforms were distributed; May need to order or supplement the girls basketball uniforms in the near future, some of them are in rough shape. Dan Valerio will put together a proposal for girl's basketball uniforms.
- Surplus gym time available with the possibility of freeing up St. Francis on Mon & Wed. Jim Gantt will work this issue.
- Gym time is needed on October 5th for boy's basketball tryouts.
- Girls tournament is scheduled for October. Brian Hoffman is working on the brackets. (need 5th grade teams) T-Shirts will be awarded instead of individual trophies this year.
-Brian Hoffman is working on sponsorship for the various brackets. He is waiting on a response from Applebee's. The sponsorship is $500.00
2. Boys Football Steve Crawford & David Phillippi (PP&K)
- No report from football
- PPK 30 kids participated (same number as last year) Winners will be posted on Quicklets
- 300 flyers were given to Chuck Grosser (FHS AD)
- Concession stand profits were minimal for the PPK event (water and sport drinks only)
- Dave Phillppi will draft a letter on behalf of the boosters thanking FHS for the use of their stadium.
3. Boys Basketball - Jim Haverland
- 2005/06 budget submitted
- Sign-ups September 19th with CYO meeting on September 22nd
- Jim will distribute St. Vivian tournament fliers at the CYO meeting
- CYO rosters due October 10th (Jim is working on a schedule for Tryouts so rosters can be submitted on time)
- St Vivian Boys Tournament scheduled for November 11-12-13, 18-19-20, 25-26-27
4. Girls Volleyball - Beth Hurd (report submitted by Dan Valerio)
- Sign-ups September 19th
- There is a need for volleyball coaches, please contact Beth Hurd if interested
- CYO meeting scheduled for September 22nd. Rally scoring will be discussed.
- Beth Hurd submitted the gym schedule to Jim Gantt
- Beth Hurd is requesting the VB tournament be scheduled from Friday through Thursday. Since Beth was not available for more details, no action was taken by the board.

G. Reports on Unfinished Business:
1. Constitution Vote (Dan)
- The server was down last week so the notice did not go out about the proposed changes to the constitution.
- Tom Bove requested a comparison of the Old vs New constitution highlighting the changes. Dan will follow-up with Tom Bove on this request.
- A motion was made and voted on to delay the vote on changing the constitution until November. The vote passed with 8 board members voting to delay.
2. Banking Location (Brian Frey)
- Brian Frey reported that Northside is currently offering 1.5% interest Vs. 5/3rd offering 5% on checking accounts.
- A motion was made and voted on to switch accounts from Northside to 5/3rd. The motion passed with 8 board members voting to make the switch.
3. Scoreboard Advertising (Cheryl Asper)
- No contact from Coke to date about a sponsorship on the scoreboard.
- Mark Ballinger will follow-up with Wesbanco
- Dave Phillppi takes over ownership for scoreboard advertisement sales.
4. Update on gym needs for Fall Girls Basketball (Dan)

5. Logo for mats (Dan)
Dan Valerio will get logo information from Tom Schnur and forward to Brian Frey.
6. 2005/06 Goals
Dan Valerio submitted the following goals for the 2005/06 booster year. Each goal was assigned an owner who is responsible for developing success criteria for each area.
Ie: Was the Booster board successful in reaching their 2005/06 goals? How will we measure success?

A motion was made and voted on to establish the definition of family for St. Vivian sporting admissions as the players Parents, guardians, and immediate family members.
The motion passed 5 - 2 (not all members present for this vote due to length of meeting)
2. A/B Split
A motion was made and voted on to hold a special meeting to debate the merits of splitting A/B at the sixth grade level. The decision will be voted on by the general membership at this special meeting.
The motion passed 5 - 1
