The meeting on 9 May 2005 was not an official meeting. Due to other commitments, there were not enough board members present to form a quorum.

 

We did have a productive discussion on two topics presented by guest Vicki Murphy:

 

1.       Communication to families of students in the Parish School of Religion program (PSR)

Vicki pointed out that PSR students (“Sunday School” for children who do not attend St. Vivian School) do not receive the weekly information envelopes the students attending St. Vivian School receive. She requested an extra effort to be sure these members of the parish receive Boosters information. After discussing existing methods of communication (bulletin, Quicklets, Boosters bulletin board in breezeway) Vicki agreed to assume the newly created role of Boosters Director of Communications to PSR and non-St. Vivian School Members. Vicki will work with the commissioners of the various sports programs to ensure PSR students receive all necessary information. Vicki’s name is added to the list of Directors at the end of these minutes.

 

2.       Greater advance notice of tryouts for A/B splits in 7th and 8th grades

Vicki requested a minimum 2-week notice be provided families regarding A/B splits. The Boosters members present (Board and guests) all agreed 2-week minimum notice should be our goal.
