H. New Business:
1. Letter to General Members requesting time for the Fish Fry (Valerio)
- Dan has drafted a letter but has not been sent out at this point - To be reviewed with Joan & the Hollmanns
2. Options for Upgrading Activity Center Floor (Ballinger)
- Mark obtained quotes from Cint Flooring Company for installation of a hardwood floor & a synthetic floor. The hardwood quote was app 60k & after reviewing with salesperson, several downfalls were presented due to the existing floor setup & dimensions(ie: ramps would need installed at each doorway & under the stage doors which would extend close to court). The maintainence of a wood floor is greater than synthetic also.
Synthetic floor was quoted at appx 50k. The synthetic floor can be installed in a 2 week period vs the wood floor of appx 5-6 wks. Some local schools(Holy Trinity, St. X) have installed the synthetic floors.
Though the cost is not inexpensive, the Boosters financial status is not in jeopardy & the safety of the children is first thing in mind. Funding of the floor proposed thru Golf Outings, Sports Stags, Monte Carlo & possibly open donations.
Mark has agreed to Chair this position.
3. Outcome of discussions for rolling calendar.(Valerio)
- Father Paul advised this would not be possible due to the large quantity of groups involved but would do his best to have the calendar set by April.
4. Request from Father Paul to fund the new tables in cafeteria(Valerio)
- Boosters proposing approval for the expense of 20 tables which is the balance of what require purchased as the Festival has agreed to pay for 20 also. The amount proposed to be authorized is $1200 - 20 tables at 60/each
5. Booster Constitution Change(Valerio)
