Network Of CareOur Mission:
As an organization of St. Vivian Parish, the Network of Care responds to Christ's commandment to "love one another" by bringing compassion and support to parishioners in need.
We believe that our parish is strengthened by the involvement of all parishioners, including our elderly and sick. Therefore, we seek to help our parishioners remain active in the life of St. Vivian Parish.
What we do:
We provide rides to parish functions such as weekly mass and Free Spirits meetings. We also support parishioners who have recently returned home from the hospital by providing supportive visits or phone calls, preparing simple meals, and running light errands.
Additionally, the Network of Care has a volunteer dog, named Ursa, who is trained as a therapeutic pet. Pet therapy is proven to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and make sad people happy. Ursa and her owner are available for home visits on evenings and weekends.
If you or someone you know could use these services, please call the parish office at 728-4331. If you are interested in volunteering with the Network of Care, call Jeanne Schaefer at 728-4332.
