Music Ministry
Music Ministry (choir and ensembles) serves at parish liturgies to aid the gathered assembly’s full participation in singing responses, acclamations, and other texts set to music, and to help add beauty and solemnity to parish celebrations.
Volunteers commit to weekly rehearsal and to sing or play an instrument at one liturgy per weekend, as well as special liturgies throughout the year.
Rehearsals times are as follows for weekend liturgies:
Wednesdays, 7:30 – 9:00 pm (11:00 am Mass - choir) (August - June)
Saturdays, 3:00 – 4:30 pm, (4:30 pm - ensemble)
Sundays, 7:30 - 8:30 am, (8:30 am Mass - ensemble)
There are additional rehearsals throughout the year to prepare for major celebrations (e.g. Christmas, Easter).
Music Ministry is actively seeking volunteers (singers and instrumentalists). Members must be confirmed, or of high school age or older. No audition is required for singers. Psalmists/Cantors and Instrumentalists must audition with the Director of Liturgy and Music. Please contact Tim McManus at 728-4338 if interested.
Weddings - Please contact the Director of Liturgy and Music to arrange musical selections for your wedding.
