H1N1 VaccinesHamilton County Public Health Department (HCPH) has advised that vaccinating school age children is very important in controlling the severity of illness in our community.
To reduce the spread of disease caused by the ongoing circulation of H1N1 (swine) flu, a vaccine will soon become available. Early next week, you will receive a packet of information from the health department to complete and return to school within 2 days. The packet will include H1N1 information, vaccine information, and the student consent form. Everyone must complete and return this form, even if you choose not to have your child vaccinated. Complete instructions will be in your packet. (HCPH) will administer the vaccine to our students. Our POD (point of distribution) will likely be at St. Xavier High School and will probably be available to St. Vivian students after school hours due to parking at the high school. Due to staggered vaccine availability, we will contact you with the date and time of vaccination.
